FAQs

🪑 How many chairs do you have?

We have 100 upholstered stacking chairs. Two six-foot rectangular tables and one eight-foot rectangular table are also available.

🎤 Do you have a sound system or piano?

Yes, we offer sound amplification with wired and wireless mic options. XLR jacks are available on stage. Our speaker system has a headphone jack and a Lightning-to-headphone dongle.

Our baby grand is kept in tune and available with an additional deposit. The piano must be off limits when not in use and covered during receptions.

💃 Is this space available for receptions?

Absolutely! Four to five 6-foot round tables can fit comfortably in the event hall. Tables may be rented from one of many rental companies in the area. The bookstore has a residential-size fridge for any short term storage.

📚 Is the Bookstore part of the space?

Kinda. The wedding venue and the bookstore are separated by vibrant wooden bifold doors. They can stay shut the entire time. Or there are many ways to include the bookstore as part of your big day – whether that’s starting your walk down the aisle at the top of our fiction and poetry aisle, keeping the store open after the ceremony or during the reception, or gifting a particular book to your guests.

Restrooms and bridal preparation space are accessed through the bookstore, so we operate on an honor system of guests respecting the store.

🍷 Can alcohol be served at the reception?

You may serve beer, wine, hard cider, or mead with proof of one day event insurance, which is easily acquired online.

Hard alcohol (liquor & spirits) is strictly prohibited.

⌚️ What times of day are available for weddings?

Your building use contract gives access to the building from 8am to 10pm.

On weekends the bookstore closes at 4pm, but you are welcome to enjoy your ceremony during or after bookstore hours.
